OUR STORY

We began this journey in the depths of bereavement, pain, and suffering at the tremendous loss of a visionary who embodied humility, compassion, and a commitment to serving others. Iboro James was a selfless, devout Christian who internalized his role as a man blessed with the resources to provide for the neglected, the poor, and the underprivileged.

Iboro understood the value of giving back and never forgot his upbringing. He was born in the midst of rural Nigeria, in a village with sparse electricity and fresh water. He learned to make do with limited resources as did his peers; however, teachers during his childhood described that he often exhibited maturity well beyond his years. His focus and determination to be his best was reflected in his pursuits.

Iboro James valued education greatly and was firmly rooted in the pursuit of knowledge and scholarship. His commitment to higher learning began at the Polytechnic Calabar in Nigeria where he received a Higher National Diploma (HND) in electrical engineering, he went further to earn a Bachelor of Science degree with honors distinction and Public Administration from University of Calabar.

In 2001, he relocated to the United States. However, he traveled frequently to his native village in Nigeria to devote his time to providing meals for children and families in need. His ultimate goal was to spark a movement that encourages others to reach back and provide resources for third world countries.

Unsatisfied and with an insatiable thirst for knowledge, he pursued further education in computer science at Boston University, and another bachelor degree in Economics as he graduated with honors distinction (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Houston. Towards his later years, he rekindled a dormant passion for the sciences and was enrolled in the College of Pharmacy at Texas A&M University as he pursued a doctorate degree. He hoped to join a community of health leaders devoted to providing adequate medical care for the underserved in the United States and in Nigeria. Unfortunately, this pursuit was cut short by his untimely death on July 18, 2017.

Iboro’s spirit and commitment to education and serving others ignited our mission to carry on his legacy. We are dedicated to extending this vision through funding medical missions, providing scholarship opportunities to aspiring students, and strengthening orphanges through financial support and meal donations.
